    Default census clarification look up please

    Hi, could someone check a census listing for me, i have a family on the 1881, and need to find them later on to clarify. thanks, details are

    surname GREEN, mark 1846 myland, ellen/ellinor (nee Smith) 1848

    married dec 1870. children georgana ?(spelling) 1869, walter 1871,albert 1873, charles (need a middle name if possible ) 1875 or jun 74

    elizabeth 1877, sarahann 1879 all listed as gt. Horkesley

    also living there benjamin

    Smith 1811 father in law.

    reg 11 1800 folio 116 page 10

    address brick lane gt horkesley. I am going on theory that family i am looking for were farming in 1946, in Gt horkesley. thanks in advance for any help. Liz

    Hi gillian, yep, this ties in with my charles ashton Green,who would have been my gg grandfather. but do you know what Navoyt SE railway stands for? i presume SE is for south east ? Liz

    Yes if that squiggle is an E it would be south eastern railway. I can't make out the occupation for sure but unless anyone has any better ideas I think maybe navigator (navvy) ie a labourer who built track, tunnels etc
