Does anyone have access to the census records?



I am looking for a Maria Bentley/Maria Flack/ Maria Rosenthall von Courcy.



Bc 1813 Hammersmith. Occupation Nurse.



I am trying to eliminate any if possible, for a marriage I am looking for.

Sorry, these were the only ones I could find. None born in Hammersmith.



The other 2 names do not appear with the first name Maria.

Thanks very much for looking. I am not sure if any are correct, as I have only one census 1861 with Maria on as she was by then married and occ was nurse. I was hoping that she would be a nurse on the 51 too.

I have a possible for 1851. I first searched their previous address, but they were not there. I searched on Nicholl - null, then Nicholls.



I include the one below purely to rule them out, as this William Nicholls was still in Harefield in 1861 so clearly isn't yours, but may tie in later:

HO 107/1697 folio 343 page 6 Harefield, Middlesex at the copper mills:

entry 22, William NICHOLLS, head, married, 42,copper and zinc worker,born Middlesex, Harefield

Mary Nicholls, wife, 35,ditto birthplace

Henry, son, 14, labourer at copper works,ditto birthplace

Emma , daughter, 12, scholar, ditto birthplace

Edwin, son, 8, ditto, ditto

Mary dau,6, ditto, ditto

James, son, 2, ditto birthplace



next door toRichard Nicholls, 78, pensioner, born Gt Marlow Bucks, wife Mary, 77 b Harefield Middlesex and son James unm, 30 lab at copper works,b Harefield



and two doors from: Samuel Nicholls,head, 32, roller at copper mill,born Harefield, with his family



I will keep looking - but please can you clarify the change of surname from your first note - (Bentley, Flack,von Courcy). Do you have any other info about the family (ie did they have any children) that might help the search?

They are in the parish of Christchurch, St George in the East, in Tower Hamlets, in 1851

Maria Mudie, visitor,12, scholar (actually spelt scholer on the form) ,b St George , Middlesex

john Padrewski (difficult to decipher so this is creactive rendering!), visitor, unmarried, slipper maker, b Warsaw, Poland



Could the Maria Mudie be a child of Maria Nichols by an earlier marriage?

Thinking about it I guess Mudie could also be spelt Moody.

William Nichol/s was always a basket maker, as he put this on 41, 51 and 61 census.



41, 51 he was living with his brother. William was unmarried.



61 William was now married to Maria, who states Nurse as occupation.



I don't know if they are on any more census, as William, bc 1804 and Maria c 1813, according to the 61 census.



I am trying to determine a marriage for these two, and have found three possibilities so far, between William Nichol/s and either aa Maria Flack, a Maria Bentley and a Marie Rosenthall Von Courcy. All in Middlesex.



If any of these Maria's could be found on 51 or, then I may get more information regarding her birthplace/occupation and then hence which Maria married William.
