My Fairburn forebears came from the Harrogate area and are listed in the parish registers (1500s-1700s) of Ripley, Kirkby Overblow and Pannal variously as Fairbarne, Fairebarn, Farebarn, Fairburne and Fairburn. I have also found online the 1750 will of my gt-gt-gt-gt-grandfather Richard Fairburn, farmer, who leased land at Pannal. Does anybody know anything about the Fairburns in that part of England?
