Thread: Newbie help needed with Grandfather date of birth

Hi I am looking for my Grandfather date of birth(I have his Marriage Cert & Death Cert), Percy George Howes approx 1894.

Also looking for his parents, George Howes - Marion Backhouse- Ipswich, Suffolk.

Can you help me in anyway nearer to what I have got?

You would have to send for the birth certificate to get the exact date of birth.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortuntely Percy George Howes in Mitford is not that of my grandfather,I purchased this Cert also one for in London, the parents do not tally. I know he was born either in Suffolk or London.

If you come up with anything else re Percy George Howes 1894, George Howes & Marion Backhouse.

As I said I have the Marriage & Death Cert on my Grandfather,I thought that I would of got his Birth Certificate from them.

have you found percy george on the 1901 census. i cannot see him with his parents. are you sure of their names. you will have had the fathers name from his marriage certificate but how do you know his mothers name without the birth certificate. i cannot find a marriage for george and marion backhouse either.
