Hello
I am at the beginning of my family history search. I have been advised that my g.g. grandfather William John Renshaw was born c. 1791 in Chester, Cheshire, England, and was convicted of burglary. I have the following information:
10 April 1814 - Chester Sessions, Cheshire. Death Senternce commuted to Tranportation for Burglary. Age 23 years. 5' 7 1/2 " tall, pale complexion, black hair, dark eyes. Occupation - Weaver, native of Cheshire.
15 April 1815 - Distribution of Convicts aboard "Indefatigable to Windsor/ Wallis Plains.
1 July 1818 - Prisoners recommended fro mitigation of Sentence
31 July 1818 - Convict Pardon - Assistance at Bathurst, NSW, Australia.
Does anyone know how I might find the actual details of his court hearing?
Many thanks
Donna
