    Default The Tiplady's of Yorkshire

    Hi all..

Is there anyone out there who could give me further info on a Harold A Tiplady b1898 in Beverley of Hull of Yorkshire. I am looking to see if there are any desendants of him. I know that he married in 1921 to an Edith M Curtis and unsure if they had any children that would be my third cousins.

Many thanks and look forward in hearing from someone soon.

Good luck with your own searches....

    Martin.

    Hi Martin,

Have checked BM&D's for any issue and found the following

Eileen M (Curtis) Tiplady Dec Qtr 1923 Sculcoates 9D 363

Ada (Curtis) Tiplady March Qtr 1927 Morpeth 10B 714

Trevor J (Curtis) Tiplady June Qtr 1931 Bromley 2A 1090

Can't be sure they are the children of Harold & Edith, but they are the only ones listed that I can find with mothers name 'Curtis'

You may have to send for certificates to confirm parentage, quite costly I know, but the only way forward I think especially since the births were in different areas.

You can order online at the following link:

Let us know how you get on

    Hi Nanna.

Thankyou for your help, very much appreciated.

Will have a look at the info that you have given me.

Yes we do have a Cert of their marriage and it does confirm that it is the correct people that we are looking for. So just now looking for any children that they might have had. Harold is my fathers Uncle, he was just found by luck through the 1901 census and my father did not know that he had any uncles on his side of the family as my fathers father (my grandad) died when he was only 4years old so little is known of that side of the family. I do have a tree on Ancestry and Genes for about 2 years now...So still looking.

    Once again many thanks...

    Martin.
