Thread: Occupation on 1841 census?

Hi

Can anyone tell me what MS stands for in the Profession, Trade, Employment Box on the census form. I've seen it a few times before and now I've found it against my GGG grandfather.

No doubt it's something very simple, but would be very grateful for enlightenment!

Thanks so much - it fits with the record I believe is him in 1851 too - another bit of the jigsaw!
