I've been searching for my grandfather for over 12 years. He is/was William John Glover. The only evidence I have of his existance is the marriage certificate and all the information has been exhausted down to the very last dot. Married at St Peters Church, Brighton 1 June 1920 to Helen Dorothy Robinson. He was a 20 year old batchelor, Indoor Servant 'living in' at St Johns Wood, London. Father also a servant - deceased. I identified one of the witnesses as the brides uncle but not the other - C J Martin (gender unknown). Having trawled though every birth and death for William John Glover found none with a father John. My grandmother remarried in 1926 as a widow (however this could be in doubt as both her parents committed bygamy). Should have mentioned that my father was born several weeks later and it appears that William John Glover walked down the aisle and disappeared. Found a couple of possibles on the 1901 census but the father isn't John. His place of work is now appartments.

I've tried various forums, even different religions and now wondering if I should give up.
