Default Ernest William Robinson from Hanworth

Ernest William Robinson was my Great Grandfather who died 12 Feb 1954 (March quarter) Aged 76. I already have his death certificate which was registered by his son E. J. Robinson. Who was E J Robinson and are there any more family?

I know about Ernest William's life in Brighton prior to 1899 but after that...no idea…except he went to London and started a new life with a new family. I don't even know the name of his 'new' wife or when or where he married. He started his working life as a Groom in Brighton and at the time of death was a retired Private Chauffeur.

I would like to get in touch with any of the Robinson Family who lived at 113 The Alders, Hanworth, Feltham Mdx.

    Hi Bushybabe,

Do you have the name of Ernest William Robinson's spouse on the death certificate, beside the name of his son Ernest J Robinson ?

If so, this could be a lead to any siblings from the marriage.

Thank you for getting back so quickly..! Unfortunately there was no mention of his spouse and the informant was his son EJ Robinson - so I don't even know his first name or age. I've tried writing to the address on the certificate but got no reply and also put an ad in the local paper - nothing. Apparently the Poll books for that period were destroyed so that's another door shut and I'm running out of ideas. There isn't any sign of him on the 1901 census either. He left my great grandmother in Brighton sometime about 1900. Any suggestions?
