Thread: 1861/71 Census Look Up Please SouthCove Yorkshire

Hi,



I am trying to trace William Gibson, Wheelwright, born abt 1805 Hull. He married Margaret Petfield in 1828 in South Cave.



He is living with her and children in 1851 at 36 West Street, South Cave.



But on 1881 he is married to a Hannah who was born abt 1825 in South Cave.



I have found a marriage for him and a Hannah Stephenson in September 1868 in South Cave, IGI, and also showing on GRO Registers as in Beverley, ref 9d 164.



There is also a death for Margaret Gibson in June 1862 in Beverley records, 9d 68.



I can't find Hannah Stephenson on IGI so am wondering, as she was about 45 years old, if she was a Widow.



Any help with census and any previous marriage for Hannah would be appreciated.

Hi Calmar... looking at the original image... John Dickinson is a farmer of 120 acres and employed 2 labourers... she could have been there in her capacity of dressmaker.... lol

Yes I suppose so, unless she is a relative perhaps.



Stamford Bridge seems a long way to go for a dressmaking appointment!
