Thread: Could somebody help me trace my ancestry further than 1791?

Thanks to all who help. I have an ancestor, no several ancestors, with the last name of Downing. The furthest back in my family that I can get is this:



Dennis Thomas Downing



b. ? ?, 1791



d. Jan 29, 1872





He lived in County Kerry, Ireland and served as the Post Master.









I've tried many different sites, but I cannot find him, or his ancestors. Either that or I have to pay to read the info. Not cool.

Do you have any info on his wife or children.

Do you know if Dennis Thomas died in Ireland or England.



This could help narrow down the searching.
