Thread: Charles Alfred Gould & Emmeline Pinhorn

Hello,



I am tracing back on the Gould side of my family but am having trouble as the leads keep going frustratingly dead. At the moment I am interested in finding the parents of Charles Alfred Gould birth date not known but he married Emmeline Pinhorn (possibly born 1st Qtr 1883 in Portsea) in Nottingham 1st Qtr 1908. They went on to have 7 children 6 girls and a boy (who died age 15) during the years 1909 - 1925.



If anyone could shed any light on the parents or their own brothers/sisters I would be very grateful.

elizabeth 1830 portsmouth

thomas 1851 portsmouth photographer (out of employ)

alfred 1866 portsmouth

take that back there are two ememelines both born portmouth

one sept 1861 and one mar 1883

the 1861 emmeline married 1883 either james louis fennemore or daniel wells. so lets look for the other emmeline

Conundrum isn't it!



Charles went on to be an engineer and they moved from Notts (marriage) to Leicester to Barnsley. I believe thay also lived in Sheffield. Had children until 1925. One of these, my great Aunt Pat is coming over from Bermuda in a couple of weeks so hope she can remember something.



I can't find my Emmeline in the census's which is a bit of a nuisance.

I have just traced the marriage of Thomas and Amelia to 4th Qtr 1875.
