Thread: looking for my gg grandfather

i am trying to find richard moss born circa 1806 stockport cheshire i have searched most of the local registers no luck any help please astwood

There are a few Richard Moss's on the IGI Website but all born Lancashire

The only Richard Moss's I found were all born in Lancashire. Perhaps another

member will have better luck Sorry.

on the 1861 census there is richard moss born stockport 1807 living in willaston, wynbury district 21, cheshire with his wife sarah. they are listed as boarders. he is a miller and she is millers wife. also listed is Joseph woodworth aged 29 head.

on 1851 richard is again with his wife and also jane moss 12 and william moss 8. richard is a labourer. sarah born 1814 wynbury by the way.

on 1871 just richard and sarah at home in wynbury , willaston heath

richard is down as labourer (corn????)

richard moss dies nantwich, cheshire in Jul/Aug/Sept qtr 1877 aged 70

on igi there is a marriage for richard moss to sarah skerratt on 16 mar 1837 at wynbury cheshire which seems to fit quite well with chidlrens ages etc
