Checking for Naturalization
How do you find out if someone was Naturalized?
I need to find my Great Grandfathers' date of birth and country of origin, so that I can trace back further. Also to help trace his relatives that left England.
I have pulled his NHS notes but they unfortunately only had his age.
He is from Russia according to 1891 census, family say Riga in Latvia.
He was Jewish and lived in Whitechapel area most of his adult life.
His first name was Harris and surname ROTE(1887), Radar(1888), Rode(1891), Rhoder(1895) and finally settled on Roder in 1889!
He died in 1944.
