Thread: Jeremiah Hurst

Hi , im looking for some more info regarding the parents of my great great grandfather Jeremiah Hurst, Jeremiah was born in billinge, Lancashire around 1835 he worked as a stonemason and lived in liverpool from 1851

i have him on all available census (apart from the 1861), and i have him with his parents on the 1841 census in billinge i would love to find out more about his parents, i know with the lack of census this will be difficult, but if i could find their marriage that would be a great help, their names are john hurst (from billinge) & margaret (from pemberton near wigan), hurst is a common name in wigan.

If anyone has the British Isles Vital Records Index 2nd edition, I have noticed that there are 26 marriages in Bellinge from 1828-1832 and 76 from 1834-1845 recorded on there.

There are loads of marriages for Hurst on the BIVRI discs but I cant see any at all in Billinge or the surrounding district.
