Thread: Thomas Naish

Found a marriage ref. for Thomas,11a 442 Cardiff (2nd qtr 1887). However the other name on the page is given as John Thomas Saunders. Is it possible to find out the correct partner for Thomas? I know he was unm in 1881 so the date fits.

There is a Thomas b1858 Cardiff (which is the correct time & place) on the 1901 Census but is mistranscribed as having spouse James.

I wondered if its possibly Jane?

Have had a look at the original image of the 1901, it ls definately his wife, she is either Jane or Jance, can't say I'm familiar with the second one.



They are at 27 & 28 Herbert street, St Marys, Cardiff.

Thank you for checking. I think Jane is probably correct. I'm wondering now if her name was Jane Thomas-Saunders, a double barrel name? I'll do some more digging! Sharon.

You may be able to find the matching numbers. The area may still be in the process of being transcribed so the other name does not necessarily go with hers. Marriages (1870 - 1889) not complete. If the page is complete there should be 4 names (sometimes 8) with the same number.
