Thread: Cheffey James- Yorkshire

Found many Cheffey James' in Yorkshire. I know George Cheffey James was living in Yorkshire around 1891 married to Clara. Could I have 91 and 01 census checks to establish which were his children? There are about a dozen of them at the last count! Thanks, Sharon.

Can you confirm that it George you are looking for and not William. William married a Clara.

Hi, yes its definitely George b 1864-he married Clara De La Cour in Southhampton 1889 then moved to Sheffield by 1891.(William b1879 also married a Clara).Sharon

I can't see any. Can you give some names and any other information you have. I see plenty with the middle initial C but can't prove any are Cheffey.

There are plenty more in Wales if you are interested.

Hi again.Searched for Cheffey James in Yorkshire and these names came up(maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree but it seems worth a try).

Found these definite Cheffey's in Cardiff. Could I have a 1901 census check to establish whose children they were?(I think probably Arthur's).
