Thread: 1901 census

i am trying to locate my g. grandfather he was in the grenadier guards for 16 years his name was charles reynolds born 1871 banbury oxford, he lived in leicestershire (ratby) later on -and on the 1901 census at his home in ratby there was only his wife emma and children so i presume he was in the guards then, but i cannot find out where he was? does anyone know how i go about this?

national archives tried, just info on where to get started, also been on website you refered to, no good either will have to write to birdcage walk down london i think, but was told it cost 25 pounds!! thanks for your trouble k.

You won't get the National Archives info online - you'd have to search yourself
