Thread: Birth details

I am trying to find the birth of my g.g.grandfather Frederick Head. He was born about 1853/4 in either Paddington or Kent.



The problem I have is his mother Sarah Woolley (Wooley) married Frederick James Head in 1855, a year after he was born.



I would very much like to find his birth to confirm one way or the other who his father was.



On the 1861 he is living with his mother's parents in Kent, they have him down as born Paddington. On all other census he says born Kent!



Any help much appreciated.

Yes, you are correct sorry about wrong year. I have the Marriage Certificate dated 11.8.1855 Lynsted, Kent.



On the 1861 census Frederick is with his grandparent's in Kent aged 7, his parents are living in Eastbourne with two younger daughters!



On the 1871 census Frederick is now 17, back living with his mother and siblings, father missing. 1881 28 yrs, 1891 37 years & 1901 48 years. So his age is pretty consistent, but I cannot find him. I think he is born 1853/54.
