Thread: Fellows-Barrett

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction. I have found a mariage for Susanna Fellows to Joseph Barrett in 1817 in the Pallott's Marriage Index, but where do I go or what do I do to establish whether these are actually the people I am looking for? I would appreciate any advice.

What I would like to know is who Susanna's parents were but as marriage certificates for that time are not available I don't know how to go about finding out. The marriage index gives a parish of Southwark Christchurch Blackfriars Road Surrey. I have a copy of my ggggrandfather's will in which he mentions a daughter Susanna and her husband Joseph Barrett. Hope this doesn't sound too garbled.

He was Charles and I think her mother was Lucy - I have traced the sons but have not been able to find anything on Susanna. Charles a widower, married again in 1817 to Eleanor Buckney Goldsborough.

Thanks for the info, I must be doing something completely wrong, because i cant find anything on the relevant people.

Am i looking in the right place (England) i dont know where she was born.

Im really sorry but could you give anymore details, like where her sblings were born that might give me a something to go on, also her siblings names.

Any info on that front would be great.

So sorry I didn't give a complete story at the outset - I will know better next time. Charles Fellows was a Cutler of Henley on Thames. He had two sons namely Charles William and Henry who were both born in Henley on Thames. I understand that the Baptismal records of St. Marys Parish Church, Henley reflect the parents as Charles and Lucy, but no mention of a daughter. I obtained a copy of Charles' Will , in this he mentions a daughter Susanna and her husband Joseph Barrett. I know that Charles' second marriage on 23 July 1816 was to Eleanor Buckney Goldsborough at Henley on Thames. I have information on Charles William and Henry but to complete my records I would like to get some information on Susanna if at all possible. I have also not been able to find anything on Lucy.



I hope this clarifies things. I do appreciate the time and trouble you have taken with this.

I promise i didnt forget you i can honestly say i cant find a thing, the only thing i think i may have found was charles, (susannas brother), but i know you already have all the brothers info.

These are a very hard lot to find, mabe mistranscribed, i have checked all the variations of the surname, i cant even find susannas husband.



I will still keep you in mind when i have some more time, they must be about somewhere



so sorry i didnt come up with anything, maybe some others can help with this aswell
