Hi,found the Owen Owens in question on 1881 census living in Pontypridd married to Ann. Trying to find marriage ref. (and maiden name for Ann). Owen was b 1826 Carmarthen don't know where Ann was born. Sharon

This is them in 1871, I'm trying to narrow down when they got married.

Owen Owens/10/son/Llantarnan, Monmouthshire

This could be young Owen's birth, it's the only likely one indexed.



Owen Owens 1860, Oct-Dec qrt. Newport Monmouthshire, vol 11a page 175.



So, the marriage was probably before 4th qrt. 1860. Which narrows it down a bit, however Wales seems to be full of Owen Owens', so I guess the only way to establish Owen senior's wife's maiden name is to buy Owen junior's birth cert.
