Thread: Mary Ann Connell

I've come to a brick wall with Edward and Mary Ann Connell - I'm resigned to the fact it'll be almost impossible to track down Edward, but I would like to see if I can get any further with Mary Ann.



The only information I have at the moment is taken from census records after the couple married and had children - I know Mary Ann was born in Kidderminster in 1828, and married Edward some time before 1861, when their first child was born. Unfortunately I don't know her maiden name, which is why I'm having trouble.



If it helps their children's names are:



Martin, b. 1861

James, b. 1866

Thomas, b. 1869

Jane, b. 1869



If anyone can track Mary Ann and her family down I would be very grateful.

I have Connell's from Ireland but at least you know that Edward came from Tipperary!



I havent a clue where mine came from!



Why dont you get one of the childrens birth certs which would tell you her maiden name. Maybe then the marriage would be easier to find.

Thanks for looking into it for me. I have info for Jane, as she is my great great grandmother. I also have possibe spouse's names for Martin and James, so Roseanna may either be Thomas' wife or someone Mary Ann is lodging with?

If you have the info for Jane does it not say what her mmn is on her birth cert?

I don't have her birth cert at the moment unfortunately - all the info I have is from census records and info from family.

Not yet - I know it's probably the only way of finding the info, but can't afford it at the moment. I'm hoping someone can find a connection somewhere that I may have missed!

Sometimes certs are a must if you want to get further back and make sure you are following the right ancestors..
