Default Help with old newspaper location

    Evening everybody.

I'm trying to locate an article that was published in 1947 by the Sunday Pictorial. I understand that the Sunday Pictorial launched by Rothermere became the Sunday Mirror in 1963. I know the date and headline of the article (relative to my maternal Grandfather) but would love to locate a copy that I could give to my mother as a framed present.

I know this isn't specific to genealogy but does anyone have any ideas where I could possible locate a copy of the newspaper with a view to getting a possible article of the newspaper.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've just bought a full size copy of a page (1960 Lpool Echo)) from British Library - £15-00.

They do have 1947 Sunday Pictorial.

I e-mailed initially and they replied next day asking for full postal address and page no. and article details etc.(they have to send a form also, by post, to confirm that it is for private use). I received all ness. order forms etc. two days later; filled them in; and posted back with a £15-00 cheque. Received my order approx. two weeks later rolled up in a cardboard tube (no folds etc !!!)

So, all things considered, an excellent service.

    Jim
