Thread: Esther's Maiden Name

Hi there fellow "searchers", help finding Esther's Maiden name, born 1828 in Lepton near Huddersfield, married to Henry Ellins 1st quarter of 1848, registered in Huddersfield, Vol xx11 page 203., everywhere I look - come up against a dead end.





Any help/hints greatly appreciated.

Followed up on your clue reference above, hit the Bullseye!! Confirmed info as well by trip to Huddersfield archives., also got info to back up findings ref Frank & Sarah Gigham., nothing found on her Parents yet, but not giving in yet!! Thanks for all help.

Hi I have just seen your message for Esther She was Esther Kay and she married Henry Ellins on the 6 Feb 1848 at Huddersfield Saint Peters they had several children one of which married my greatgtreatgrandfather if you want any more info please send pm

Esther Kaye Married Henry Ellins

Just had another look at the message boards you seem to be looking at two different Henry Ellins the one that married Esther is from Minchinghamton, Gloucesertershire and was a palsterer/teamer born 1823 and died 19 June 1871 and his wife died 18 November 1885 after remarrying in 1874.
