Hiya,looking for maiden name of Ellen Jane Stoddart. Her husband, John Stoddart was born in Cumberland in 1854. I have them living in Pontypridd in 1901 with their children. Am having trouble finding a marriage for John and Ellen.



Have found births for the kids apart from Lizzie, and possible for Sarah Ellen

Sarah Ellen 1891 2nd Qtr Cockermouth Cumberland Vol 10b Pg 625 (this is possible as they were living in Cumberland at the time of the 1891 Census)



If you got one of the kids birth certs you will find out Ellen Jane's maiden name.

Hi again. I believe Lizzy was actually Mary Elizabeth b 1886. Sarah was possibly born in Cumberland.

lol just realised that myself after looking at the 1891 Census I put up... Still can't pinpoint her though.



I have been trying again for a marriage for John and Ellen but coming up with nothing sorry... Might help if we had her maiden name.. I would send for a birth cert for one of the children that I found and then you would be certain.
