Thread: Marriage of Great grandparents Frank & Sarah Parkinson.

Am having difficulty finding approx date when they married, Frank born 1856 in Wakefield,Sarah born 1857 in Darton near Barnsley., Their eldest sibling Harry born 1881. Have checked through years 1878-1881 on another site and found nothing, unless I'm overlooking some date or name spelling, maybe I'm not allowing enough "leeway" with the About birth year. Help and or hints will be much appreciated. Also, need to know Sarah's maiden name to see if I can take search any further back.

Frank Parkinson and a Sarah Gigham Wakefield 9C 109 June Qtr 1876 Wakefield

After looking at the census baby Harry was 10 months old on the 1881c so that makes him born in 1880.



This is the most likely birth for Harry that I can find..3rdq 1880 vol 9c page 38 Wakefield.

The birth cert will tell you the mothers maiden name..

Many appreciable thanks for information sent me on subject of great grandparent's marriage, and also birth of Son Harry., have some doubts un-proven at moment, regarding Sarah Gigham info, have discovered since, she was born in 1847, making her 11 years older than Frank Parkinson. I'm not sure how to double check findings on Ancestry Aid, plan to visit Wakefield Archives tomorrow, to search for clues there. But a great many thanks for your attending to my query.
