    Default Fanny Wakford

    Hi,

I am looking for a Fanny or Frances Wakford (sometimes written Wakeford) who married James Bowler born 1816 in Albury in 1853. Her father was George Wakford, and I think that she could have been born in Sussex in 1821, although her marriage certificate states that her age at the time of marriage was 29. May I request a 1841 and 1851 census look-up please?

    Many thanks,

    Sue

    Hi Raven

Thanks for that, but unfortunately that's not her. The IGI shows that the father of these two girls was John and not George.

    Best regards,

    Hi Gillian,

Thanks very much for helping me once again. It does look as if this is the right person, especially as Richard Sydenham was from Albury. I wonder if he moved back to Albury before 1853 taking Fanny/Frances with him because she married in Albury in 1853?

    Best wishes,

    Sudjhr
