Thread: Great Great Grandmother's

Referring to my original thread of Monday,regarding Alice Wright - Wife of James Wright., according to an 1861 census print out I'va got, they had two daughter's named Harriet born 1854 and Louisa born 1859, I think this would indicate James and Alice married around 1851/1852. Any search assistance in regard to Alice's Parents names and surname, will be very much appreciated., the address given on the census print out I think reads Holland Street in New Carr, Manchester.

There is a marriage for a James Wright

1850 1st Qtr Stockport Cheshire Vol 19 Pg 208.

There is an Alice Simpson on the same page..

There are a couple of other possibilities

3rd quarter 1852 Manchester 8d 467 James Wright - possible spouse Alice Winstanley

4th quarter 1852 Manchester 8d 645 James Wright - possible spouse Alice Thompson

Louisa Wright age 11 Manchester

Living at 56 Chapel, Manchester.



I think the best way to go at finding Alice's maiden name is to buy a birth cert for one of the children which will tell you the mothers maiden name.



On Family search Harriet Wright was christened 12 Feb 1854 Manchester cathedral..

Theres quite a few deaths listed for Alice Wright!



Possible death for an Alice Wright,
