Thread: Looking for Info on George E Kyte

Has anyone information on George E Kyte? He was my gran's half brother and I've no trace of him after the 1901 Census on which he was aged 6 and living at Church Street, Maesteg, Glamorgan. I can't find any marriage or death records for him which leads me to believe he may have fought and died in WW1.

Any help would be appreciated,

Have Checked on Ancestry for British Army Service Records WW1 and found nothing. Same with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission..

Thanks for the info you've sent. It seems likely that this is the comfimation I was looking for, especially the Glamorgan link. Are you aware of any way I could find out if he died as a soldier during the war?

I checked on the Commonwealth War Graves for a death during WW1 but there was nothing to coincide with the Regiment or Service numbers on the two records I found..
