Thread: carling & Lockyer (Mitchell)

I've managed to find the marrage date of my mother and father:- Stanley E Carling/Elizabeth Lockyer, formerly Mitchell but I am unable to find out any other information. I believe my father was born in Hove, Sussex and My mother, from my birth cert. was Elizabeth Norma Macefield Carling late Lockyer, formerly Mitchell. It is my strong belief that my mother was born in India, where unknown, DOB 1900. If anyone can help me with dates, place etc I will be forever grateful.

I can't immediately see a birth for Stanley E - have you an approximate date of birth? Was he definitely born in England?

Stanley E was born in Hove 1902 in March I've managed to find this small piece of information from his service (RN) information but I would like to fine out his parents name etc.

Stanley Edward Carling was married to Elizabeth Lockyer in December 1925 at Portsmouth. UK. My mother maiden name was Mitchell and I believe she married Lockyer in India and by my reckoning she must have been about 18 when she first got married.



I am most appreciative to all for the efforts that are being carried out on my behalve.

No marrage cert yet but the dates are right. Wii apply for a marrage cert. when the finances are a bit better. Thanks.
