Hello. My name is Kimberly Diane Minton Hogan. I have ancestors that were born in the England, Ireland, etc. area. My sister and I are doing our ancestry research I was wondering if anyone could help me track some names down. If you can please let me know and thanks so much.



The names that we are currently looking for is:

George Goulds

born in 1849 in Hadlow, England

died in 1924



George's Wife:

Harriett Whenday

born in 1849 in England

died in 1926



They have a son named Larkin C Goulds. He was born in/around 1862. He passed away in 04 Jan 1947.

Are you sure that Larkin wasn't an adopted child, changed his name or had a nickname ? If George and Harriet were born in 1849 then they would have been about 13 years old when Larkin was born. I can find no reference to a birth of Larkin Gould either. Another thought, could it be George junior so that the names didn't get muddled.

Yes he could have been adopted after they moved to US from England. I really dont know. We are thinking he was born in the US but not for sure. We were also thinking that maybe they changed the last name from Gould to Goulds or something. But that could very well be them. Thanks for looking.

I have looked at Ancestry.com for Larkin Goulds. Although the name comes up twice in Maine directories, when you open the page it doesn't say Larkin.
