Thread: Gedcom Help Needed please .....

This is the note on the "Gedcom File Upload" window :-



"If you have a gedcom currently uploaded all previous data will be erased."



i.e. on this page :- http://www.ancestryaid.co.uk/data/gedcom/index.php



This seems to imply that only one UpLoad is allowed.



Question 1. Is my assumption correct ?



After all, one single upload cannot cater for all branches of the 'same' tree.



Question 2. Where does one find "My Tree" or "My Uploads" ?

If all your tree is on one gedcom file you can upload the whole tree at once. If you want the tree split into seperate branches you can divide your gedcom file into seperate islands. You would need to contact Jon to arrange more than one tree to your account.



Question 2 - Do you mean on the site. If the answer is yes, the old tree has now been removed ready for the new one. Emails were sent to all members. A gedcom that has been uploaded should be found by clicking on Gedcom at the top of the forum.
