Thread: Smiths from Surrey and Cambridgeshire.

I have many Smiths in my tree but would like to follow these two . Any info on births , marriages or deaths will help.

My only info is as follows.

No 1 -- John George Smith b Oct 1819 , St. Mary's , Newington, Surrey. parents could have been Charles Smith and Martha ?



No. 2 -- William Smith b c 1789 , spouse Ann

possible parents William Smith and Sarah Brown

William had son John Smith b c 1820, who I have as being born in Thriplow , Cambridgeshire. John married Esther Sibley.



No. 3 --Henry Smith b c 1848 .

A real mystery as all I have parents names. As far as I know they were from England and came to Australia either just before or just after son's birth.



Any help very much appreciated as these have been my dead ends for a long time.

Thank you so much Gillian. I was given the little info I had years ago and was able to trace John George through the Azzizes Trials, but you have now given me siblings to check on. Every little bit is a help. thank you again.

You say you have Henry's parents' names? If so could you post them?

Sorry Gillian, I meant to put the names of Henry's parents in first post. They were Henry Smith and Hannah Howell. These are on Henry's death cert. Henry jnr. married in Australia to Ellen Byning ( sometimes written as Bynon , Bynan)

I have no dates that are accurate as there was a lot of mixup. Going on Henry jnrs. death cert, he would have been born c 1848 , but no one knows if he was born in Australia or overseas in England or Scotland.

There is no family knowledge of Henry senior or his wife.

I know this may not help but it is all I have. Thank you.
