    Looking for Harriet French 1851 Census Mollington Oxfordshire.

    Harriet Born Abt 1848 Mollington Oxfordshire. Father John French.

    Kiwi I have found your Harriett for 1861 if thats any help. She is down on the Census as Son,s daughter and her age is given as 11 years. The name listed are other family members. Elizabeth French age 72 years born Wardington Oxfordshire is down on the Census as Widow and shows her profession as being Late Dairy Made. John her son is down as being aged 35 years and gives his profession as Shepherd. Mary is given as Sons wife also aged 35 years born Farnborough, Warwickshire. Emanuel French is down as Grandson aged 19 years profession Ag Lab...The other names mentioned for the children must be John and Mary,s children. Ok Kiwi something has just caught my attention. There are two little girls on the Census down as Sons Daughter. One is Harriet aged 11 years and the other is Harriot aged 2 years. Hmmm They are still all in the parish of Mollington.

    I have had another search for 1851 but so far nothing. There are a few French families in the Mollington area of Oxfordshire. Also they had John as Head with wife being named Mary. Perhaps they were related? I will see if any other members have answered your thread when next I have some time to search. If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know.
