It could well be him actually as i am searching marriages and im getting nowhere. hes not anywhere to be found, i tried the 91 census but cant find anything either

Have you got james birth cert? as that will tell you his parents

You have Elizabeth Birtwistle married to James Hammerton Foster, does this mean you have the wedding certificate? If so can you tell us his father's name? It would be a great help in the search.

Hi Wendy - I'm not at all sure that the James H Foster married to Elizabeth Birtwistle in 1919 and the James Hammerton Foster born Burnley in 1877 are the same people - are you certain?
