Thread: Thomas Williams (1862)

I know from family recollections that Thomas Williams was born in 1862 in the Wednesbury area and married Mary Ann Tolley, but I'm struggling to find any record of his birth/marriage. I've gone a little further back with Mary Ann's family, but I've hit a dead-end with Thomas' family.



At the moment I've got his parents as Thomas (b. 1824) and Pheabe (b. 1826), but as I come across more records this gets harder to verify as the names were so common. I am also struggling to get any further back than these names if they are linked.

Thanks for your help Raven - I did a search on FamilySearch.org and a couple of marriages came up, both Phoebe's marrying a Thomas Williams in the same area but with different maiden names. I think I found that record as well, but as it was after 4 of the children were born I discounted it as unlikely.
