Looking for

John Mclean & Agnes Corran McLean on the 1901 Census.



I have a birth certificate for their son Archibald Mclean He was born 1908 so will not be on the 1901 Census. We believe he had 3 sisters Nan, Mary & Jean. Not sure if they were older or younger than Archibald.



John Mclean is listed as a Threadmill Worker on Archibalds birth certicate.

The family lived in Paisley Renfewshire Scotland.



Any help would be much appreciated

We only have their son's birth certifcate to go on. I would guess they would have been born about 1880. Sorry its not much to go on.

Not Sure about this one but I will keep the info just in case.



I have just found on the IGI site a John Mclean Born 1878 Paisley his parents are John Mclean & Jeanie Fulton.

I was wondering if this could be him as one of his daughters was names Jean, maybe after his mother.



Is there a John Mclean born about 1878

canny see a John McLean 1878 =/- 2 years with a wife Agnes,,, that was the only one I could sort of match up with yours...

I have just found out that a Nickname for Agnes was Nancy in Scotland. This may have been shortened to Nan which is one of the names we remember.



so the family you found could be the one



It would though make John & Agnes 46yrs old when they had Archibald in 1908.
