I AM GETTING VERY FURSTRATED WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!



Ok got that out of my system, I am looking for either a marriage

between Nehemiah Ayres and Susan Whitlock or maybe John Turner and Susan Whitlock (although just to make things harder Susan has been known to use the name Norris)



The age range isn't too brilliant either as they are Romany they didn't tend to marry under licence as they had their own ceremonies, so to speak.



I have a rough date of Nehemiah birth 1826. Again nothing for for the elusive Susan but abt 1831 ish



Their children's birth dates range from 1850 - 1875



Nehemiah was born in Brown Candover Southampton but it is thought Susan is from Blandford Forum in Dorset.

From the children births it is known they also travelled in, wiltshire,Hampshire and Dorset.



I have them in a few census as well 1861 and another but cannot find it at the moment.



Hope someone can help me and hopefully i have given enough information.

Is this them in 1861? If so, I will look further tomorrow. I'm extremely tired just now .......... so not the best time for me to do effective searches. Let me know if this is them, and I'll do involved searches tomorrow, if it is.

slizzy yes that is them. I didn't realise if i clicked on the blue bits it would take me to the census.Instead i spent an hour searches to double check, lol. They say you learn something new everyday.Thank you.

You say Nehemiah married Susan whitlock (also has formely known as Norris on some of the childrens birth cert) We cannot find a marriage for these two. But we have got Nine children so far for them.



I only have Jessie as a cooper and no Louisa that i can think off. We do have an ELiza Ayres 1851 great Bedwin child of Nehemiah and Susan.



This family has had some name chanages that are proving hard to confirm;

Nehemiah ' chanaged ' his name to John and they both started to use the surname Turner. I don't know why or exactly when



George born 1870 and my gt.gt.grandfa oliver born 1875 have John Turner and Susan turner formely Whitlock as the parents.

There was nothing on Nehemiah Ayres, they may not have even registered it. I cant find my husband, grandads birth, yet ive been able to find his brothers and sister. They changed there name from Light to Crutcher.

Hi, i have completey confused mysef, i need the 'smiley' icon where its running roung in circles,lol.



I have managed to find an entry for Nehemiah baptism in 1826 Brown Candover.



Now we are trying to find his wedding, if they did marry that is....



I have seen some crutcher names, mind you i vist so many it might be this one i have seen. Have you tried Romany Routes? Tina
