Looking for the family of George Robert Platten who married Sarah Ann Hunn in 1849 (district of Blofield) Norfolk.
Unfortunately this is all the info I have, so hoping the newly-weds are on the '51 and beyond (and before)
Thanks
Baz

Just one thing... Where was everyone born? Help me track them further.
Any luck with the '51? It was the one I meant to ask for in the openingrolleyes:
Baz
One census say sarah 71 yrs b.Horning widow living Rollesby i think thats her . [ 1901]
I'm unsure about this one Bazza, I'll leave you to decide. Robert's wife named as Martha, could it have been a mistake on the part of the enumerator?
1851 Census ......... Robert's occupation is Blacksmith. Address 'Near the Green' ?
Name: George Platten Age: 22 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1829 Relation: Head Spouse's Name: Martha Gender: Male Where born: Horning, Norfolk, England
Civil Parish: Stokesby County/Island: Norfolk Country: EnglandRegistration district: Flegg Sub-registration district: East Flegg ED, institution, or vessel: 4 Neighbors: View others on page Household schedule number: 50 Household Members: Name Age George Platten 22 Martha Platten 19
Thanks Chris, definitely looks like her and fits with the 1906 death I found for her (reg'd Flegg) and a death date for Robert in 1896 (flegg) aged 68.
Slizzy, thanks for that, but I don't think that's them. I found a George Platten dying 1906 in Flegg, aged 78, and a Martha, in Flegg, in 1915, 82 y/o, which clearly differs from the ones I'm looking for (refer death dates above).
I think it's fairly obvious now that George went by his middle name of Robert...
Hello Baz
All born Norfolk same area not found them 51 yet but I shall keep looking. Surname transcribed wrong or something and as he used both names (pain). My husbands are all from Norfolk Walsingham area, we are popping up there for a week end of May not going to the library but to the jen shop and round graveyards (very exciting) so if there's anything you want me to look for just shout.
Hi Kimmy,
Are you talking about jenny shop, who sell genealogy as i thought through illness she closed![]()
