    Hi Teri

Do you have the marriage of Caroline & John?

What part of Staffs was she born in?

Do you have them on Census after their marriage?

    Hi Teri

Thankyou for you PM -sadly, I am in no way connected to Caroline; it was just me trying to see if I could help you at all!

You say Caroline lived in Rowley Regis, you have them on 1841, 51 and 71 but have lost them on 61. And her first son, was named John.

Was her husband named John, as you stated above - or was it Jospeh??

Is the family on the 1851 in Rowley Regis, with eldest child in the house being Hannah Maria b abt 1838 Rowly?

If so, by all accounts, it is looking as if they could well married before the start of Civil Reg.

Hi Teri - thank you for your email saying you weren't sure about this entry as you have a date of 1821 for Caroline's birth. It is always difficult to be sure with pre-1837 records but there isn't a later Caroline Parsons born Rowley Regis St Giles which was the parish church and would have the vast majority of BMDs.

When I looked at 1851 (Caroline & Joseph Whitehouse - Rowley Regis) Caroline's age is given as 34 which would fit.

Remember adult ages on 1841 were rounded down to the nearest 5 years.

    What do you think?

    Gillian
