Thread: 1901 Irish Census

Hey Guys,



does anyone have access to the Irish censuses? In particular the 1901.



I am looking for the family of Hugh Glynn Brabazon, who was born c.1833. He married Eliza McQuitty in 1864 and had six known children: Hugh Glynn (1865), Mary Glynn (1869), James Glynn (1871), Lawrence (1873), William John (1875) and Annie Glynn (1877, married William Gibson).



The family had strong maritime connections, both Hugh Snr. and his brother Lawrence were sea captains, so they may not be recorded... But I'm hoping some of them stuck around.

I have read that the 1901 census was the first to survive but I have not seen much evidence of it yet.

Yeah, I know. We were discussing them, hence why I posted the request, to see if we could get a bit more info. Have you had any breakthroughs with them?

I have 5 generations of descendants of Hugh Glynn Brabazon who married Eliza McQuitty and can go back to 1066 with his ancestors.

Yeah, I think you may have already sent me them. Did you find anymore info regarding the family of the young man born last January (K. Glynn Brabazon)?
