hello all,

been a little while for me-- have been away ,then searching for and finding all sorts of info on my English Gadd family from West Sussex.



if anyone has Gadd families in their trees please contact me-- will share what I have.



Now I am searching for information about a scottish family, and before I drive myself insane with all this "circling" I have been doing I thought I'd ask for some assistance.



I'm looking for--birth and marriage records for--



**John McKenzie born about 1822/23 possibly in Rosskeen Scotland,

and his wife

**Roda Junor, born 1-Jun-1817 possibly in Knockbain Scotland.



***They both died in Minto, Wellington County, Ontario Canada, in

1911.



**In 1851, they were still in Scotland, living in Resolis, Ross &

Cromarty County, Scotland.

**They had a son Donald McKenzie, born about 1848 possibly in

Killearn, and a son John, born about 1850 in Resolis.



In 1859, they had another son, Alexander, born in Ontario, so they

would have come to Canada sometime between the 1851 census and 1859.



I have been to SP with no success as to parish records for marriages for them

or births of their first 2 children, well, not that I can see.



I did find a marriage for-



14 29/08/1838 JUNOR JEMIMA JOHN MACKENZIE/ F Rosemarkie /ROSS AND

CROMARTY 080/ 0020



the year I think would be close but-- as far as we know there are no

Jemima Junor's in the family.( seems an odd name for a Scottish lass--

or is it more common than I think?)



Are there online searchable sites for Ross/Cromarty Parish registers?

Is there somewhere I can write to about these records?



***The Mckenzie family is seen in 1881 Can. census LDS



I just know there is someone here with much more knowledge in researching in Scotland than I do--
