Hi All,
I've found on the consular records (from Findingmypast) for 1881-84 that Cornellia Isabella Furniss married in Barcalona Spain. Is it possible to obtain the marriage certificate to find her husband?
Cheers

Raven,
Could you also take a look for the marriage of
RAYMOND FURNISS probably between 1882 & 1892. There is no record of his marriage in England- Wales or Scotland but i've been told it's possibly in Ireland but this is by no way certain. His wife is probably SOPHIA FOSTER.

Hi Andrew
There is a marriage for a Sophia Foster in 1887 in Co Antrim... but alas I can't find anything for Raymond Furniss..
I searched here.. http://ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/quis.ph...marriage&new=1
This is the Irish History Foundation..
How do you know her probable name??
Have checked overseas marriages on Find my Past as well...sorry nothing there...![]()
Raven,
The birth certificates for Raymonds children show it as Sophia along with the 1901 census, but the 1891 says Charlotte?
Was there a husband named with Sophia?
My dad said he was told there was circus connection in Ireland with a possible marriage. As i've been searching for this marriage for 2 years with no success i wonder if Raymond & Sophia met there but never married.
Perhaps Charlotte was a first marriage and as he was a catholic it was never dissolved?
HI Andrew,
unfortunately not. but to see the records you have to purchase them ie €5 per record..
Ok, well thanks anyway for your help Raven.![]()
