Many thanks Slizzy, interesting the mistranscribe. I never met my grandfather George as he died when my dad was only 5. Things are moving fast I am now up to Geoges grandafather William, born 1821 in Swindon Wilts but having difficulty in finding info on his birth and who his parents were.
