Could someone please tell me as much as possible about the following....

The children of Mark b.1807 and Mary TATTERSALL b.1807 [Riley]

Sarah b.1827, James b.1828, John b.1831, Richard b.1832, Ann b.1834, Robert b.1836, William b.1839 and perhaps others unsure.

Very little is known about Sarah, John, Richard, Ann, William.

All born in Goldshaw Booth, Lancashire as per the 1841 census.

Thank you. I think we need to check where Sarah b.1827, Richard b1832, Ann b1834, Robert b1836, William and any other may have been born. And find when they may have come to Australia. There may have been other children according to papers I have. In it all I'm looking some clues connecting your john with the

Tattersalls.

Yes we have the name John, but my Ann is about 3 years older the John in the 61 census, and Thomas he may have been one of the others.



Sorry, I all ways wish we had a perfect fit but.....

The Ann I put for 1861 was the wife of John not his sister Ann. It is not an easy one as I didn't realize the name Tattersall was so common. I had never heard of it. I think the best way to do this is to hope someone has the parish records for that area. Unfortunately the only ones I have are for Hampshire which will not be a lot of use here

Not much help in finding the TATTERSALLS you specify, but I do have them in Downham, Lancs in the 1700's if that's any help.

Robert and William came to Australia with Mark and Mary in 1859 on the Palmyra. And you know that James his wife Isabella and children Sarah and Mark came out in 1857 on the Mary Anne.

Yes that's correct. Thanks to other members of this site we found that out and I can tell you it was a pleasure to put those pieces into the jigsaw of our family tree.
