Many Thanks Kiwi for all that information, What I am trying to establish is her correct marriage, I have been told she married a James Roberts 20 Feb 1848 East Newlyn ? any way of checking this for me, many thanks.

Marriage of Mary Jane Paull
I am finding out that many people researching the Paull family do NOT know that WALTER PAULL (father of Mary Jane) left Cornwall and moved up to the Mancester area. While up there he became a convert to the newly formed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) who were doing missionary reruiting in that area. WILLIAM PAULL took his wife ELIZABETH GOYNE PAULL and 5 childern who were still at home(Walter, John, Priscilla, Edmund and Susan) and left England, joined the "Daniel Garn Wagon Company " of the LDS Church consisting of over 400 people and 40 wagons, went overland on a 3+month journey arriving in Salt Lake City 1 Oct 1854. In all of these records he listed his surname as PAUL.
His eldest son WILLIAM Jr, his wife SARAH GEORGIANA BURROWS (to whom I am realted) and MARY JANE PAUL with her husband JAMES LINFORTH came later as a member of the "Hunt Wagon Company" ,who was following the Handcart expeditions, arriving in Salt Lake City in December 1856.
WILLIAM Jr, his wife Sarah, Mary Jane and JAMES LINFORTH eventually left Salt Lake City and went on to San Francisco where they settled and eventually died.

I think we might be looking at 2 families with parent William and Elizabeth Paul.
In the census below Mary Jane Paul is living with her family now in Liverpool and still single. Therefore this Mary Jane could not have married JAMES ROBERTS in 1848.
