Thread: Help with Couture family name in Canada

I am trying to find some information on a Joseph Edward Honore Albert Couture who was born in 1912 in Canada. His father's name is Edward Couture who was a bootmaker. I think he was born in Montreal, Canada.



Joseph Edward Albert Couture came out to England during the Second World War I think and he married my Grandmother Gladys Eileen Godden in May 1941. They had 2 childen who are Avril Couture born in 1943 (UK) and Edward Coture born in 1941 (UK)



Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to help my cousin to find out some information on ther grandparents as this is not my direct link but Glady Eileen Godden is our grandmother. And also how do I find out if someone died in the war. As we think that Joseph Edward Albert couture might of died during World War 2

The marriage index for Joseph Edward Honore Albert Couture married Gladys A. Goddon (note the A).



Quarter. Apr/May/Jun 1941 vol.2a Page.1905 Surry S.E



Have you checked out the 1911 Census?
