The Crowning Glory on my family tree is one James William SOWTER. Have I asked before, I'm not sure, forgive me.



I would dearly love to know his background. I have as...........

B. 25 Dec. 1858 place unknown.

D. 1921 place unknown very likely NSW.

M. Mary Tattersall B. 26 Mar. 1858 Liverpool NSW, M. 30 Jun. 1876 D. 26 Oct. 1927 Redfern NSW.



They may have had as many three children, but it is their UK background that interests me here.

Was James William the first to come to Australia from the UK and if so the question is with what family, what ship, what date, from where?
