Hello,
My family name of Danville has finally hit the brick wall....I have traced back to Frederick Danvile (1830 - Falmouth I think) he married Martha Rattey in the same place. They had Frederick J in 1854, he married Eliza Benbow...these were the ones who travelled north to Hull. Both died young and their children were in the hull Workhouse or orphanage. I can find no further evidence of the 1st Frederick (i.e. his birth certificate) in the UK.....BUT....there has always been a family thing about being related to someone french, but now I am soooooooooooooooo frustrated
Any help on my possibly Gallic relations would be superb - if they are ordinary tin mine folk then so be it, I'll just be happy with SOME info...
Ta!
Ellie
