Thread: Birth of John Collinson Heckmondwike

Please could someone look up a birth and tell me when John Collinson from Heckmondwike was born and the names of his parents? He was 41 on the 1861 census.



Any help would be much appreciated.

You will have to check the Parish Recordsfor these details as Civil Registration didnt start until, 1st July 1837 and he was born c1820.



I noticed that he was with Martha from 1841 Census, I had a look for a marriage on FreeBMD but they weren't listed

The marriage cetificate would give his fathers name.

Hi Lesley.............a possible ???????? Birstall is about 2 miles from Heckmondwike. As Lozzie said, the only way to be certain is to buy his marriage cert. if it can be found.
